Teletherapy and in-person therapy
Since finding a therapist who’s the right fit for you is one of the most important aspects of creating a good therapy experience (and even its strongest predictor of success!), I encourage clients to book a free phone consultation before making a first appointment.
It is a chance to see whether my experience, specialties, and approach to therapy are a good fit for you before committing to a first session.
Fees and Insurance
I am out-of-network with most insurance plans which means sessions are charged upfront and clients are given receipts to submit to insurance for post-session reimbursement. After meeting any applicable deductible, the insurance company will typically reimburse a percentage of the session.
Many plans with PPO designation (Aetna PPO, Blue Cross PPO, Cigna PPO) include out of network benefits to give clients a greater choice in providers.
I help clients maximize their insurance benefits using the Reimbursify app to both check benefits and electronically submit claims.
I have partnered with Grace Inc. to provide six-month (or as needed) therapy scholarships to young adults. Founded in memory of social worker Grace S. Nierenberg, With Grace Inc. aims to make therapy affordable and accessible to adolescents and young adults across New York City. The application is available here.
I have current openings for young adults 18-24.
